CCA’s vision, mission and guiding principles define the company, our culture and our expectations for employees – from newly-hired to seasoned veterans, from the administrative clerk and line staff officer to wardens and CCA officers.

Each of equal importance, the guiding principles stand for who we are as individuals, personally and professionally; and who we are, collectively, as a company. These ideas are not new concepts – many are long-standing values of our company: quality assurance, training, programs, and operations. They define our strengths and priorities. They distinguish CCA from other providers in our industry, and our staff, from other corrections professionals.

Our vision, mission and guiding principles provide greater definition to our formula for success, known informally throughout our company and industry as “The CCA Way.” This catchphrase has been used for many years by CCA employees, our competitors, and our customers to refer to our company’s unique approach and industry leadership.
